We Are Not Made
To Travel Alone

We are all on a journey through life that can sometimes be exciting and full of great things such as a loving family, rewarding work, or an active social life. At other times it may seem  treacherous and daunting, full of obstacles like broken dreams or unexpected events.

One thing is certain: the choices we make along the way greatly affect our journey. And the most important choice we will ever make is the choice we make about our relationship with God.

Let's have a HeartTalk.

God has some things He'd like for you to know from His heart. He has great plans for you! HOPE in Him.

The Bible says, "For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.'" (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

God has great things in store for you. If you look for Him, you will find Him. And when you find Him, you find hope. He loves, cares, and listens to you.

Maybe you are asking yourself, "Why don't I feel like God listens to me?" Well, that's because sin separates people from God. He is perfect; people are not. He has never done anything wrong; we do wrong all the time. But that doesn't mean God loves us any less.

In fact, He loves you so much that He gave His only Son for you! Someone had to pay the penalty for your wrongdoings. God loves you so much that He sent Jesus to be that payment. BELIEVE in Him.

The Bible says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

When you believe that God sent Jesus to die on the cross for you and accept the gift of life He offers, He will wipe your sins away. Then, communication with God is opened. A love relationship with Him begins. God will forgive your wrongdoings and clean your heart. TURN to Him.

The Bible says, "Turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." (Acts 3:19)

God wants the very best for you. As you turn away from your sins and to Him, He gives you a new heart and peace, joy, and love like you've never known. Your spirit will be refreshed.

But it's not enough just to know about Jesus.  You must ask Him to lead your life.  He wants to be your Lord.  CALL on Him.

The Bible says, "If you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:9-10, 13)

Why not pray this simple prayer right now, asking Jesus to be your Savior and your Lord?

Dear God,
I know You have great plans for me and I want to place my hope in You.
I believe You love me and sent Jesus to die on a cross for me.
Please forgive me and help me turn from my wrongdoings.
I want you to lead my life.
Amen.
